Hi! I'm Kate, a writer and journalist.

 

My work spans reporting on climate and ecology, waxing poetic about movies and music, and some podcasting about loneliness and belonging (as a treat).

I'm a current early-career fellow with the science journalism outlet The Open Notebook, and previously covered the environment on California's Mendocino Coast via Report for America. I have written for publications including Atmos, Sierra, Reuters, and the GroundTruth Project.
